Week13

For this week we needed to propose a final project masterpiece that integrates the range of units covered as a assignment.

The assignment

1.What will it do?

The machine i will make is going to engrave on wood.I have chosen for this project because i want to help the little man that are making crafts by hand and also want to use the project as a sample on school or institute.

2.Who's done what beforehand?

The person that made a cnc machine are :

Enrico Bassi-CNC machine

Pilar Bolumbur-CNC machine

Cameron Akker-CNC machine

3.What will you design?

What i will design is :

Framework

Bar holders

Stepperdrivers

4.What materials and components will be used?

The materials i'm going to use are :

1.Mdf-Shopbot

2.Filament-3D printer

3.Threaded rods and bars,screws,nuts

4.Microcontrollers- PCB boards

5.Where will it come from?

Some components are from the lab and some are bought by myself.

6.How much will they cost?

To be a little rough they will cost about 200$

1.Stepper motor -$51

2.Filament-$43

3.9mm MDF -15$

4.nuts and screws -$15

5.Thread - $11

6.Linear shaft bar-$4

7.Endstoppers-$9

7.What parts and systems will be made?

The parts that will be made are:

1.The holders from the shaft bar of the axis

2.The bed of the y-axis

3.The the z-axis.

8.What processes will be used?

Processes that will be used are:

1.Frame -shopbot

2.Stepper drivers- Milling machine

3.Dremel holder-3D printer

9.What questions need to be answered?

Questions that needs to be answered are:

1.what did get working of the machine?

2.Did i make any progress by making electronics boards?

3.Did the machine work like it supposed to?

10.How will it be evaluated?

My project will be avaluated on:

1.Did the machine do what i expected it to do?

2.Which of the components of the machine i designed?

3.which electronic board did i make for the machine and which code did i used?

4.Are the components based on the weekly assignments?

11.Your project should incorporate 2D and 3D design, additive and subtractive fabrication processes, electronics design and production, microcontroller interfacing and programming, system integration and packaging.

12.Where possible, you should make rather than but the parts of your project.

13.Projects can be separate or joint, but need to show individual mastery of the skills, and be independently operable.
